LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fundraiser is planned Tuesday for fallen Anchorage/Middletown firefighter Sgt. Christian Smith, who drowned while swimming at Barren River Lake last week.
Trellis Brewing in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood will be hosting the fundraiser for Smith's family on Aug. 20.Â
Organizers will donate $1 from every Kentucky Common beer that's sold that day to Smith's family.Â
Smith was 35 years old when he died, and fire officials said he was a dedicated husband and firefighter with a servant's heart.Â
