Two Louisville Metro Police officers were seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into them while helping a stranded motorist Friday evening.

The officer was helping another officer after a report of a break-in in progress when he was hit by another passenger vehicle as he entered the intersection.

The toxicology report for the 61-year-old man killed in a crash earlier this year with a Louisville police officer had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.
