In his first public statement since the shooting, Maj. Aubrey Gregory said Wednesday morning that the escalating tensions bother him more than the shooting itself.

Maj. Aubrey Gregory was shot Wednesday near Brook Street and Broadway as police were trying to control crowds protesting the grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case. 

Gregory was shot in the leg Wednesday and released from the hospital.
