According to Madison Mayor Bob Courtney, the city has plans for a Dollar General Market to fill a void downtown at 120 East Second Street, locally known as the Ruler building.

The city's redevelopment commission is allowing Mayor Bob Courtney to negotiate an agreement to buy the former Ruler Grocery Store location on East 2nd Street.

The city's once-buzzing Main Street is now mostly shut down, as most Hoosiers are told to stay at home because of COVID-19.

Starting Thursday, Feb. 20, the school will have enhanced student discipline specifically targeting vaping.

The cause of the illness was unclear, but Principal Michael Gasaway in a letter wrote that the adults and students became ill in an area where school officials had discovered a vaping device.
