City officials cut the ribbon on the new skate park at Petersburg Park in the Newburg neighborhood Wednesday afternoon. 

The goal is to expand harm reduction efforts in the city.

The first event is Friday evening.

Metro Council will consider the study's findings before voting on a plan in the coming weeks.

The ordinance would reopen the loop around Iroquois Park, known as Rundill Road.
