The record shows that all four teams gathering in San Antonio for the men’s NCAA Final Four this weekend are one-seeds.

This will be the ninth consecutive Final Four that will not feature either the Louisville, Kentucky or Indiana basketball programs — other than the University of Louisville stat crew, a talented group that started providing its services in 1969.

Check the birth certificates of the four coaches who will be playing for a trip to the Final Four during the Elite Eight games in Indianapolis and Atlanta Sunday.

That likely explains why Barnes, 70, has not been summoned to Springfield, Massachusetts for induction to the Hall of Fame.
