After being indicted by a federal grand jury for killing Donald Mills in Knox County in 2014, Patrick Baker was pardoned by former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin in 2019.
But the judge did warn both sides that, “going forward in this case, the finger-pointing and criticism contained in the motion and response serve only to undermine the presentation of the merits of the case to the Court.”
Lawyer Elliot Slosar "made inflammatory and prejudicial statements" about troopers who investigated Baker, according to a state police attorney.
Patrick Baker was convicted of killing a man during a home invasion in Knox County in 2014. He was one of hundreds of people former Gov. Matt Bevin pardoned in his final days in office earlier this month.
