Listed at 6 feet, 8 inches, Slazinski started eight of 20 games for the Cards last season, averaging 6.2 point and 3.6 rebounds. 

In his absence, Aidan Igiehon, Jae’Lyn Withers, Quinn Slazinski, JJ Traynor and Dre Davis could all earn more playing time.

University of Louisville freshman Quinn Slazinski was hospitalized with an appendix ailment Wednesday, Cardinals' coach Chris Mack said.
