Thursday, the committee heard arguments for and against reparations.

The resolution would demand reparations for Black Americans who are the descendants of slaves.

“This is a … very difficult time for our community,” Fischer acknowledged.

The free event was held at the Catholic Enrichment Center on West Broadway in Louisville. 

The movement is both economic and political, and there's a reason it rests in Kentucky.
