Kentucky State Police hasn't added body cameras for its troopers even as agencies in neighboring states have. But Gov. Andy Beshear says his administration is working on a budget request for 'body camera options' for the upcoming year.
The 25-year veteran of KSP has served in a variety of assignments.
The lawsuit claims that the man was beaten by several KSP troopers and blames part of the incident on training that called for troopers to have a "warrior mentality."
Beshear said he and Brewer will work to ensure victims are the focus of every criminal investigation.
