Sarcoma is a cancer of the connective tissue, making up just 1% of all adult cancer and 15-20% of childhood cancers in the U.S. 

He was diagnosed with Stage 4 osteosarcoma in 2021 and had multiple surgeries to remove tumors in his leg and hip.

UofL Health announced a $3.8 million investment Thursday to its Medical Center Northeast that will allow patients at the Brown Cancer Center to get results of their radiation or scans within hours.

Almost 40 teams and over 750 people were registered for the event that honors cancers survivors and remembers patients who died from the rare cancer.
