Shepherdsville is getting an aquatic center, skate park, town square and several upgrades to the city park.
The aquatic center is part of a $30 million project in Shepherdsville that also includes revitalizing its parks and streetscape.
Mayor Cubero said that his biggest goal is to develop areas and businesses that will keep people in the city, instead of them having to drive to Louisville for things.
The aquatic center will feature an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and other fitness amenities like an indoor track, pickleball courts and room for group fitness classes.
