Lt. Eric Kruse was swore in on Wednesday's Board of Public Works meeting. Kruse will take the role of Chief of Police on Jan. 1, 2024.

Mayor Treva Hodges said she wants to let victims know they can feel safe reporting domestic violence in the city. 

Hall had asked for a recount, claiming electronic voting systems malfunctioned and election officials made mistakes when counting absentee ballots.
