The fire department and ambulance service once run by former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel have been ordered to stop selling equipment, at least for now.
Noel's jury trial was scheduled to start in November.

New search warrants released Monday show Indiana State Police want to know whether former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, his wife Misty and their daughter Kasey, used fire department funds to pay for almost $60,000 in numerous charges.
Noel's jury trial is scheduled to begin in November.
But his $1.5 million bond stands in the way. Noel hasn't posted bond and remains an inmate at Scott County Jail.
The charges come as the former Clark County sheriff nears the end of a 60-day stay behind bars for contempt of court.
Jamey Noel was arrested in November 2023 on 15 felony charges related to fraud, misconduct, theft, ghost employment, and public corruption after a nearly yearlong investigation that is ongoing.
A search warrant filed Wednesday points to a $38,000 payment made on Feb. 8 of this year using a New Chapel EMS credit card.
