The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 4200 block of Vermont Avenue, near Shawnee Park, according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Beth Ruoff.
The victim was taken to University Hospital on their own accord.
William L. Sloss, 38, was arrested Thursday on charges of murder and abuse of a corpse in connection with the death of Amanda Berry.
