LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Perris Jones, a sixth-year senior running back for Virginia who was injured and carted off the field in the third quarter of a game last week at L&N Stadium, was transferred from the UofL Medical Center to the Frazier Rehabilitation Institute on Friday.
On Nov. 10, Jones had successful surgery and was able to walk briefly the following morning.
UVA said Jones will remain at Frazier Rehab for several weeks.
Jones was injured in a collision with Louisville linebacker (and former UVa teammate) Cam’Ron Kelly late in the third quarter.
He remained motionless on the field for a little more than 10 minutes before being carted off the field. School officials confirmed that he had regained motion in his extremities a few hours later.
