LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two family members competed against each other in a rugby national championship between two in-state rivals.

University of Kentucky defeated University of Louisville to win the Division I AA championship in Houston. The undefeated Wildcats won 43-26 to capture their first title.

Cousins Cameron and Blaine Donlon competed in the national championship game. Cameron plays for Louisville while Blaine plays for Kentucky.

The two played together for a year at St. Xavier High School in Louisville.

"It hasn't fully hit me I've won a national title," Blaine said. "I can't really put it much into words especially to do it with people I did and to play the people I did was just phenomenal."

"In my mind it was another game, I didn't want to put family in it too much," Cameron said. "If I won he respected me, if he won I respected him."

Cameron hopes for a rematch.
