LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville City FC defeated the Richmond Kickers 4-1 in the group stage of the 2025 USL Jägermeister Cup Saturday night.
LouCity scored three second half goals at Lynn Family Stadium to capture all three points with the result and moved up into first position on goal differential in Group Five of the USL Jägermeister Cup.
Key Moment
With a one-goal lead, LouCity added three goals in the second half from three different players.
Ray Serrano scored on an assist from Taylor Davila in the 55th minute.
Sam Gleadle scored on another assist from Davila in the 62nd minute.
Adrien Perez added LouCity's final goal in the 87th minute on an assist from Phillip Goodrum.

Richmond Kickers had just two shots on goal. Nils Seufert scored in the 58th minute for the visitors.

“I thought in the first half, we needed to be a lot better than we were,” LouCity coach Danny Cruz said. “We started the first 15 minutes really, really well … managed the territory, we were happy about that. Then, I think we fell off, lost a lot of second balls. (We) made a few tactical changes in the second half. Thought the guys did a great job executing and ultimately to score goals in this tournament — obviously it’s one of the tiebreakers — so happy with the result.”
