LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lamar Jackson should have more shots at the Super Bowl but he may have few better ones than the one the Baltimore Ravens blew in Sunday’s AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. That's the lead topic on the latest edition of "Overtime," a sports talk show hosted by Rick Bozich and Eric Crawford streaming now on WDRB+.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs grabbed the lead early to put pressure on the Ravens, and Jackson's performance won't do much to silence detractors who say he has not played big enough on the game's biggest stages. His passer rating Sunday was a pedestrian 75, he lost a fumble and threw an interception into triple coverage in the end zone while trying to come from 10 down.

The Ravens loss isn't all on him. (We're looking at you, Zay Flowers.) Jackson made plenty of plays, but how much of the criticism is fair?

See what Bozich and Crawford had to say on that and much more. The rundown of the show follows:

  • SUPER BOWL MATCHUP: In a game that many would’ve predicted before the season even began, Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid, Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs will face Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs came through some struggles during the season to do what they always do, and are back in the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five years. The 49ers are back for the first time since 2020, when they lost to Mahomes and the Chiefs. Who do you like?
  • EXPENSIVE HOLIDAY (BOWL): Louisville caused a bit of a stir last week when it revealed in an Athletic Association budget update that it lost $600,000 on playing in the Holiday Bowl. With a $3 million-plus payout per team, how was this possible? And with the expanded playoff coming, do we really need to rethink this bowl thing?
  • LOUISVILLE BASKETBALL TAKES A STEP BACKWARD: Kenny Payne’s team had made *a bit* of progress in recent games against some ACC-leading teams. But in the first half on Saturday against Virginia, the Cardinals fell behind 41-11 and saw themselves with the program’s largest halftime deficit since the Great Depression. Now Louisville fans are in a Great Depression. What do you tell them?
  • JOSH HEIRD "CONSUMED" BY MEN’S HOOPS: Louisville AD Josh Heird spoke briefly on the men’s basketball situation last Friday, his first comments since telling us in December that Payne would remain the coach into the new year. With the men’s program posting a $2 million shortfall in ticket sales, what is Heird's next move?
  • KENTUCKY WINS WITHOUT DILLINGHAM: Kentucky basketball didn’t have its "A" game at Arkansas on Saturday, and it didn’t even really have its "A" team with guard Rob Dillingham sidelined. But the Wildcats came from behind to win in a tough environment at Arkansas, and stoped the bleeding of back-to-back road losses. How do you feel about Kentucky with Florida coming to Rupp Arena on Wednesday?
  • LOUISVILLE WOMEN – GAUNTLET AHEAD: The Louisville women bounced back from a loss to North Carolina with a couple of double-digit wins, and now face a run of four straight games against ranked teams, two of them against conference-leading Syracuse. What has Jeff Walz done to once again have his team in contention, at 18-3 and 7-1 in the league?
  • PARTING SHOTS: Rick Bozich on Lamar Jackson. Eric Crawford on Louisville football financials.
