LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Adam Duvall went from Jim Patterson Stadium to the heights of the baseball world, and now he's coming back to be enshrined by the University of Louisville.
Earlier this year, UofL inducted Duvall, Russ Smith, Peyton Siva, Stefan LeFors and more in the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Duvall played for the Cardinals in 2009-10 and was the captain of the first UofL team to earn a national seed.
Duvall went on to enjoy a 10-year career in Major League Baseball with San Francisco, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Miami and Boston. He hit 195 home runs from 2014-24, a career highlighted by winning a World Series with the Braves in 2021.
This week, Sidney Depp of Floyd Street Media sat down with Duvall to walk through his journey from Western Kentucky University to UofL and then to the big leagues. They discuss carving out a career in the majors as well as Duvall's management of Type 1 diabetes as a professional athlete.
