LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Following back-to-back losses vs. ranked opponents, Louisville women's basketball bounced back at home Thursday night with a 96-57 rout of Grambling State.

Olivia Cochran (18 points, 11 rebounds) and Nyla Harris (14 points, 10 rebounds) each tallied double-doubles, helping boost the Cards after a lackluster first quarter saw the home team lead by just four points. The veteran frontcourt duo dominated the offensive glass for 11 offensive rebounds and scored efficiently, shooting a combined 82% from the field.

They led a charge late in the second quarter to help create some separation. Louisville outscored the Tigers 23-12 for the frame, but went on a 13-0 run to take full control of the contest.

Eventually, Jeff Walz's team overwhelmed an opponent who entered Thursday night with an overall record of 2-7. The Cardinals forced 27 Grambling turnovers and scored 29 points off of them while holding the Tigers to shoot just 35% from the field. Freshman Taj Roberts continued to show some growth on the defensive end with four steals.

She finished the night scoring in double figures and so did one of her fellow first-year Cards. Izela Arenas dropped 13 points, the most in her young Louisville career. Every played on the roster scored except for Anaya Hardy and Eseosa Imafidon.

Next up for Louisville is a home matchup vs. an Atlantic Coast Conference rival in No. 22 North Carolina State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
