LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) — A funeral director in Taylor County was indicted on felony charges after allegedly defrauding over a dozen families.

Attorney General Russell Coleman announced Thursday 53-year-old Donald Auberry of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was indicted on 13 counts of violation of trust provisions/pre-need payments for funeral services.

Court documents show the indictment came in last Friday, which alleges that between July 2021 and April 2025, Auberry defrauded families paying for his funeral services "at least 13 times."

The Attorney General’s Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigated the case.

Auberry posted his $2,000 bond Monday. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Taylor Circuit Court June 23.
