"There’s some other issues that are on the table that are important to us, but there’s not many. We can resolve this pretty quickly," Teamsters No. 2 Fred Zuckerman told UPS workers in Louisville Tuesday morning.Â
The union has pledged to strike starting Aug. 1 unless UPS agrees to a contract that the union’s leadership endorses.Â
The only Teamsters affiliate to vote against recommending the proposed UPS deal was one of the biggest, Local 89 in Louisville. The move comes just before rank-and-file Teamsters are set to begin a national vote on whether to approve the deal.
