In this episode of Crossroads, host Dalton Godbey visits Hodgenville, Kentucky, the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, to explore the legacy of one of America’s most iconic presidents and the small town that still proudly tells his story.
The episode begins on the town square at the Lincoln Museum, where exhibits and life-sized dioramas bring Lincoln’s story to life. He also visits the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, home to the symbolic cabin where Lincoln was born and the stunning neoclassical monument built in his honor.
Next, he tastes a bit of Hodgenville’s local flavor, starting with what many call the best burger in Kentucky at Laha’s Red Castle, followed by a stop at The Sweet Shoppe, a local gem known for homemade fudge and sweet treats.
To wrap up the visit, Dalton attends Lincoln Days, the town’s annual festival celebrating all things Lincoln.
