Belle of Louisville hosting several Halloween-themed cruises in October

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can experience Edgar Allen Poe’s haunting tales aboard the Belle of Louisville. The cruise is titled "Dream Within A Dream: A Journey with Edgar Allan Poe."

Eric Frantz and Kelly Moore are both actors in the show, and they stopped by WDRB Mornings Monday to give us a preview.

The ballroom deck will be transformed into a theater setting as the Belle cruises along the Ohio River. Several separate pieces of Poe's work will be performed.

"We've always done 'The Raven,' so that's a favorite, and 'The Bells' too," Moore said. "It's interesting to do this in this space. So we've had to reimagine things for the seating in the round, so everyone can see."

"Dream Within A Dream: A Journey with Edgar Allan Poe" cruises are happening Oct. 4 through Oct. 7. Cruises are from 8 to 10:30 p.m., with boarding at 7 o'clock.

Several other Halloween-themed cruises are also planned in October:

"Ghosts on the River" is on Oct. 13.

"The Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise" is on Oct. 20 and Oct. 27.

A Halloween Kids Cruise is planned for Oct. 29.
