LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are asking for tips after a man was found dead inside a home Tuesday afternoon not far from Iroquois Park.

Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers were called to the 5400 block of Carol Way around 12:45 p.m. on a report that there was a deceased person inside a residence. That's off Manslick Road and Third Street Road, near the Auburndale and Iroquois Park neighborhoods.

Once on scene, police found a man inside a home. Ellis said LMPD's Homicide Unit was called to take over the investigation.

An autopsy completed Wednesday showed trauma on the victim, Ellis said.

Investigators are now asking for the public's help gathering information, and are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have caught something on their phone or home surveillance cameras to give them a call.

Anyone with information in this or any other case is encouraged to call LMPD's anonymous Crime Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department's online Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
