LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's getting cooler outside, the leaves are starting to turn, that can only mean one thing - the fall season is here!
With the fall season comes fall recipes, and Kroger has several ideas that will get you in the mood for the cooler months!
All of the ingredients for each recipe can be found at your local Kroger.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1 2/3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. McCormick® All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. McCormick® Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions:
- Beat egg in medium bowl. Add milk, pumpkin, butter and vanilla; mix well. Mix remaining ingredients in large bowl until well blended. Add pumpkin mixture; stir just until blended. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto preheated lightly greased griddle or skillet. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side or until golden brown, turning when pancakes begin to bubble.
- Serve pancakes with chopped walnuts or pecans and maple syrup.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp. McCormick® Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. teaspoons salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 can pumpkin
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tsp. McCormick® All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped, ,divided
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9x5" loaf pans. Mix flour, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Set aside.
- Beat eggs in medium bowl. Stir in pumpkin, oil, orange juice and vanilla. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Stir in 1/2 cup of the pecans. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans. Sprinkle top of each loaf with 1/4 cup of the pecans.
- Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely on wire rack.
