LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Jeffersonville police will have an increased presence at Big Four Park after there was reportedly a large fight among teenagers Friday night.
In a social media post, the Jeffersonville Police Department said officers responded to a reported fight in progress with a large crowd just before 11 p.m.
Police arrived at the scene to find a large crowd but there was no fighting. The group of mostly teens dispersed after officers spoke to them, police said.
According to police, a smaller group returned to Big Four Park later Friday night then returned to Louisville after officers spoke to them.
"Disorderly behavior, impeding traffic, curfew, violations, and any other criminal behavior will not be tolerated in our community," Jeff PD said in a social media post. "Law enforcement action will be taken, including increased police presence at Big Four Park and surrounding downtown areas."
