LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- This 6th annual craft show returns to the backyard.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser joins some of the artists getting ready for the Backyard Craft Show.
On Saturday, May 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10 artists from the Kentucky/Ohio region come together to show their stuff.
When all art shows were being canceled several years ago during the pandemic, small business owner Ryan Durbin of RD Ceramics decided to host a small art show of his own in July of 2020.
He rounded up 5 other small business friends and safely spaced-out booths in his parent’s backyard.
The event was a success, and a great way for artists to sell at a small, casual venue.
Ryan decided to host it again the year after, with 9 local small businesses featured, and the turnout grew.
This year the Backyard Craft Show will have 10 vendors, and live music by Tunes By Trent.
Shoppers will find a varied selection of original art and home crafted goods to fit every taste including functional pottery, leather goods, upcycled vintage textiles, mixed media wall art, jewelry, and more.
