LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A lifelong dream comes true for a former WDRB employee.

Naila Seow turned her passion for food into a business, Naila's Caribbean Cuisine.

Of course, her family helped make it happen.

Her daughter, Nadia Jones, runs the show and Naila gets to show her skills in the kitchen.

Naila serves up authentic dishes from Tobago & Trinidad, where she grew up.

She will feature rice with each entree, a Trinidadian staple.

Sides include lentil soup and aloo and chana, a potatoes and chick peas combination.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser stopped by to see what goes into authentic Caribbean Cuisine.

The brightly painted walls and the bar covered by a Caribbean-themed thatched roof gives off the vibe of the islands.

The brand new restaurant on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville has been open less than 2 weeks.
