LA GRANGE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Party with your pets at Paws in the Park!

WDRB's Keith Kaiser helps the Humane Society of Oldham County get ready for the day.

The special fundraising event is happening at North Oldham Lions Club / Belknap Park just off Highway 42 in Prospect on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Have your dog play in the splash pool, compete in the Rocket Run dog race, or enter the many contests including best dressed, cutest and musical "sit.” 

There will be microchipping and nail trims available, plus, new this year is the Dog Lure Course.

For the kids, a bouncy slide, face painting, bubble table and frozen treats.

Check out the many adoptable dogs from the Humane Society of Oldham County and several other rescues while enjoying music from Masters in Music, craft beer by County Boy Brewing, and Bully’s BBQ.

Over 25 vendor booths and an online auction, that you can also access online, will be available.

A suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for kids over 12 will help many animals in need.

The Humane Society of Oldham County is a no-kill organization that rescues animals and finds them permanent, loving homes.

They offer low cost spay/neuter services, support for homeless community cats that include Trap-Neuter-Return and many other programs that benefit the community.
