LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The 38th annual "Horsing Around With Art" (HAWA) exhibition gives young artists a voice.
WDRB’s Keith Kaiser got a look at this display at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Opens on Wednesday, January 24th
The HAWA showcase is an annual competition open to Louisville Metro public, private or parochial school students in grades 1-12.

Prize money will be donated to the winning schools' art departments.
The artwork helps students build their college portfolio.
This year’s contest focuses on Derby 150, added a few new categories and attracted the highest number of submissions ever.
All the artwork will be displayed all around the big circle on the second floor.
Crews have installed new display walls to showcase the art.
The artwork is on display until Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
