LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville businesses celebrate a major milestone with a big party.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser gets a preview of the Birthday Bash that is two decades in the making.

The Louisville Independent Business Association (LIBA) is celebrating 20 years of 'Keeping Louisville Weird.'

The LIBA organization was founded in 2005 and has grown to over 850 members.

The group was started as a grassroots effort to uplift and unite local business owners, and has grown to become one of the country’s largest alliances of independently owned businesses.

The celebration is happening Friday at Headliners Music Hall, located at 1386 Lexington Road.

Show up and glow up at this party featuring live music by Tony & The Tanlines, interactive art, light bites, a cash bar, and plenty of surprises.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

LIBA now represents over 850 independently owned businesses, produces numerous events, distributes 25,000 BuyLocal Guides annually, employs two staff and two project contractors, has a Board of 13 community leaders, and operates on a $250,000+ annual budget.
