LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  The Home of the Innocents hosted a decorating competition to get the kids in the holiday spirit.

For the last few years, the staff have competed against each other for bragging rights, but there's also a trophy and pizza party on the line.

Home of the Innocents houses children with medically complex conditions. Those children are sometimes on ventilators or other medical devices and require 24-hour care.

At the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, there are five "neighborhoods" or wings of the facility. Each neighborhood decked the halls for the competition.

Themes this year included Disney Christmas, Nightmare Before Christmas, Welcome to Whoville, Candyland and a Gingerbread Village.

There were five guest judges including WDRB's Monica Harkins.

Competition was tough but ultimately the Candyland theme won.

If you're looking to help support the work at Home of the Innocents you can donate through Friday, Dec. 20 with Jude's Jingle Tree or anytime on Home of the Innocents' website.
