The Thanksgiving feast is never complete without something for dessert. And being from the south, WDRB in the Morning's Sterling Riggs is all about the cake. He's sharing his family favorite recipe for Pecan Pie Cake.
Sterling Riggs' Pecan Pie Cake
Ingredients
1 Package Yellow Cake Mix
6 eggs
Vegetable Oil
White Corn Syrup
Sugar
Butter
Chopped Pecans
Vanilla
Directions
Mix Yellow Cake ingredients together
3 Eggs Beaten
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
- Pour into greased pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees
*Take out the cake and put small holes in the cake with a fork or the end of a wooden spoon. We want the next step to seep into the cake mix.
Then mix following ingredients together and pour onto cake
3 Eggs Beaten
1 Cup White Corn Syrup
1 Cup of Sugar
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
1 1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans
1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
Bake for another 30 minutes on 325. Cool in the pan, cut into squares and enjoy!
