The brand new Max Maxwell's Drum Shop is a drummer's paradise

JEFFERSONVILLE, In. (WDRB) - Max Maxwell is drumming up some excitement in Jeffersonville.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser made a visit to the brand new Max Maxwell's Drum Shop.

Local entrepreneur, and one of the founding members of The Crashers, Max Maxwell, has created a destination for drummers.

The shop features a selection of drums, percussion instruments, and accessories. Additionally, there will be opportunities for drummers to learn from the best.

The Drum Shop is a continuation of the Maxwell family’s rich musical legacy.

Max’s father, Marvin Maxwell, is known as an outstanding drummer.

The Maxwell family has inspired countless musicians and spread the love of music throughout the community.

Max Maxwell began drumming at 10 years old, and professionally at 13. He wanted to create a place for community nights, drum clinics, “drum-e-oke”, and other special events.

Max’s brother and Crashers bandmate, Mark Maxwell, operates Maxwell’s House of Music (a full-service music store) just across the courtyard from Max Maxwell’s Drum Shop.

This brings the two brothers together again to share their expertise and passion for music gear, education, and their community.

The grand opening of Max Maxwell’s Drum Shop happened on Friday, June 20, 2025.
