Last week's heavy rainfall was much needed considering the deficit most of Kentuckiana was in the week prior. In fact, severe drought settled into some of our south central Kentucky counties while most of the rest of the region was under moderate drought.

Almost all burn bans have been canceled across the region. The last one standing in our viewing area is Larue county.

The next chance for rain should come during the first half of this next work week as a cold front slides across the area. Not only is beneficial rainfall expected, but fall-like temperatures should return behind the front.
