LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man is facing several charges after firing shots during a road rage incident in Elizabethtown early Saturday morning.

Elizabethtown Police responded around 2:41 a.m. Saturday to shots fired in the area of East Dixie Avenue between the Town Square and Steel Drive, Officer John Thomas, department spokesperson, said in a statement.

Thomas said a man driving a white Toyota 4Runner pulled out in front of a black Lincoln MKZ carrying three adults, causing them to brake suddenly. Then, the road rage incident happened when the man, 28-year-old Kevin Felix, of Louisville, driving the Toyota, motioned for the victims in the Lincoln to pass him going southbound on E. Dixie Avenue. As they were passing, police said Felix fired a shot through the victims' windshield with a .38 caliber revolver.

Felix then drove alongside victims' car, firing two additional rounds on the passenger side, Thomas said. Officers did find a bullet hole in the passenger-side rear area of the victims' car.

Thomas said no one in the Lincoln was injured. Police said they used Flock cameras and other city surveillance cameras to aid in this investigation.

Felix is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment, discharge of a firearm and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is being held in the Hardin County Jail.
