With more rain falling across our area, the NWS has issued a NEW Flood Watch that includes part of our area, including metro Louisville.
We've already had a good amount of rain in our area over the last few days, so more today could cause some flooding issues and covered roadways. Be careful! Here's more from the NWS on the Flood Watch:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and south central
Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central Kentucky,
Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark KY, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard,
Harrison KY, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Scott KY and
Woodford. In north central Kentucky, Bullitt, Jefferson, Larue,
Nelson, Shelby, Spencer and Washington KY. In south central
Kentucky, Casey, Lincoln, Marion and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
