Happy Valentines Day! If you have a dinner reservation or plans tonight, you're going to want to listen up! We've got rain rolling into our area this evening so let's time it out for you.
The first half of the day continues to be dry. Cloudy, yes, but we don't see any rain into our area anywhere until early afternoon at the earliest.
In Louisville, rain will likely hold off a few more hours. Most data shows rain approaching the metro between around 4pm - 6pm in scattered form. From here, it becomes more consistent the later through the evening that we go.
For instance if you have a dinner reservation tonight at 6PM, you might have some scattered rain rolling into the restaurant, but by the time you leave it'll likely be more consistent and maybe a little more widespread. Bring the umbrella with you tonight if you have evening plans!
The rain lasts all night and becomes most widespread by early Sunday morning. We'll see light to moderate rain continue basically all morning long for Sunday, so the morning drive to church or the store will be a wet one. It should finally exit our area by early-mid afternoon tomorrow.
Most locations could see around .50" of rain, but some locations could get upwards of an inch where the heavier pockets of rain end up.
