Breonna Taylor, 26, was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police officers serving a search warrant at her apartment on March 13, 2020. Nothing illegal was found at Taylor's apartment, and none of the officers who fired shots into the residence were charged in connection to her death.Â

"There seems nothing there to suggest that Ms. Taylor's home should have been the subject of a 'no-knock' warrant," attorney Ben Crump said. Mayor Greg Fischer said, "We all want to get ... to the truth."
Wine is recusing himself from reviewing the Louisville Metro Police Department Public Integrity Unit's investigation into Taylor's death because his office is prosecuting a case against Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker.
Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office will be responsible for determining if any charges will brought against the officers involved in the raid. Â
