Hankison posted a $15,000 cash bond at the Shelby County Detention Center and was released, a jail official said.
Former LMPD Det. Brett Hankison was charged with three felony counts of wanton endangerment for shooting into a neighboring apartment and showing 'extreme indifference to human life.' No officers were indicted in Taylor's death.
Hankison was indicted by a grand jury last week following Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's investigation into the shooting death of Breonna Taylor at the hands of LMPD officers during a March 13 raid on her apartment.
