“This was no car accident,” Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Ryane Conroy told the jury of nine women and five men. “This was no mistake. This was a crime. … He disregarded the safety of everyone else.”
A jury heard Wednesday from the driver that Louisville Metro Police Detective Deidre Mengedoht pulled over before Roger Burdette crashed into the back of her unmarked car, killing her.
The trial is expected to wrap up early next week.
