LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bellarmine University students gave back to the community on Wednesday.

More than 600 freshmen took part in service projects at more than 30 locations across Louisville for "Knights in Action."

The service projects are part of Bellarmine's Week of Welcome orientation activities.

"It allows us to get out and allows us to meet more people and do something good, and when you do something good it just makes you feel good, so I think we're actually all pretty excited," Kaden Denning, a Bellarmine student working at Seneca Park Wednesday morning, said.

Classes begin at Bellarmine Thursday, Aug. 21.
