LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Authorities have identified both men who were killed in a shooting in Old Louisville earlier this week. 

Louisville Police responded to a report of a shooting around 1:15 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Oak Street.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Police also located a woman who had been shot in the 500 block of West St. Catherine Street, and believe her injuries are connected to the shooting on West Oak Street.

All three victims were taken to UofL Hospital.

The two men were listed in critical condition, while the woman was believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. Shortly after arriving the the hospital, one of the men died from their injuries.

Police confirmed Monday evening the second man in critical condition also died at the hospital from his injuries.

Friday, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified both men as 32-year-old Devante Shields, of Louisville, and Lavonta Churchill. 

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
