LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Celebrate the holidays in Madison, Indiana, this year touring homes and historical sites decked out with all the bells and whistles.

The 41st annual Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes features six private home and historical sites throughout Madison that are beautifully decorated for the holiday season.

"This is one of the most cherished Madison Christmas traditions," Terri Jones Suiter, coordinator for this year's Nights Before Christmas, said in a news release Wednesday. "Residents open their homes to the public and give them a glimpse of the interiors of these historic homes, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Several historic sites will also be open, allowing tour participants to get a glimpse of Madison’s rich history."

Along the tour, there will be three hospitality sites — Olde Tyme Marketplace, Lumber Mill Antique Mall and Madison's Kitchen — that will have bathrooms and free refreshments.

This year's tour dates are Nov. 24-25 and Dec. 1-2 with Friday hours from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday hours from 3-9 p.m. Tickets purchased in advance are $25 for adults through Nov. 1 and then go up to $35. Tickets for children 5-12 years of age are $5. To purchase tickets, call 812-265-2956, online by clicking here, or on the PocketSights app, a free GPS app that will lead you on the tour.
