LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former Louisville basketball standouts Luke Whitehead and Mackenly Randolph are taking part in a free basketball clinic for Louisville's underserved youth.
The camp for children 8 to 14 years old happens Friday at the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville. The venue teamed up with Norton Sports Health for the free clinic, according to a news release.
The one-day basketball clinic will focus on basketball fundamentals, physical wellness, as well as life skills.
Whitehead and Randolph are heading up the camp's coaching lineup and they'll be joined by additional local coaches and mentors.
In addition to on-court instruction that will cover shooting, passing, ball-handling, defense and teamwork, campers will take part in wellness sessions led by the Norton Sports Health Performance & Wellness Center team. They'll also hear from inspiring community speakers.
The camp is already at full capacity.
