LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- People in Florida and the Carolinas are in need, after both Hurricane Helene and now Hurricane Milton.Ā
Several local organizations and events are raising funds and resources for those impacted by the hurricanes. If you are organizing a donation drive, let us know about it by emailing webteam@wdrb.com

Louisville area fire departments collecting donations until Oct. 11
Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS is partnering with Paul Davis Restoration of Louisville for a relief collection effort for victims of Helene.
The department is collecting essential toiletries to help those impacted, including paper towels, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and disposable paper plates, bowls and cups.Ā
Donations will then be picked up by The Garage Crawlers Auto Group on Friday, Oct. 11, to be taken to those in need.
Other participating fire departments include Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, PRP, Fern Creek, Fairdale, Okolona and Zoneton.

Sportsdrome Speedway and Salem Speedway donation drives
Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville, Indiana will have racing and camping this weekend, October 11th and 12th. Trailers and tables will be set up to accept donations for hurricane relief both days.
Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana will be racing, camping and accepting donations October 18 to 20. The track is at 2729 IN-56 West in Salem, Indiana.Ā
Donated items must be in new packaging. Here are items that are needed:Ā
- Clothing (underwear, socks, bras, etc.)Ā
- Nonperishable foodĀ
- Bottled waterĀ
- Dog and cat food
- Baby formula
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Feminine productsĀ
- Medical SuppliesĀ
- Travel size personal care products
- Monetary donations will go toward fuel to transport the items to Bristol Motor Speedway and to purchase additional goods.

Water by WomenĀ
In the wake of Hurricane Helene's devastation, Water By Women, a Louisville-based non-profit, is providing life-saving water filters to impacted areas. The organization calls on the public for support to ensure long-term access to clean water for survivors as they rebuild their communities.
How to Help:
To support Helene survivors with sustainable water solutions, visit waterbywomen.org. Contributions will make a direct impact for those victims who are challenged with clean water disruption and scarcity.
LouCity launches "Relief for the Rowdies"
LouCityās aiming to help with a āRelief for the Rowdiesā fundraiser running now through Sunday. The club will match up to $10,000 in total donations to aid Tampa Bayās organization as it rebuilds in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
Fans can visit LouCity.com/relief to donate. Those who contribute $100 or more will be automatically entered for a chance to win a team-signed LouCity jersey.
