LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Renshoku Ramen, a staple of Old Louisville, is closing its doors Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Owners Nick and Nicole Robey announced the closure on Facebook as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First
"From getting our windows shot out to a fire that shut us down for three months, we simply could not recover," the post read.
WDRB previously covered Ramen House’s move from the Highlands to the former Gary’s on Spring location.
The restaurant opened in 2023 after the Robeys spent years running pop-up events around Louisville.
In May 2024, a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Oak Street crashed into a tree and caused a fire that forced the restaurant to close for months.
Nick Robey told Louisville Business First last year, "We’re struggling because people see that big burnt wall out there, and they don’t register that we have a blinking neon sign that says, ‘Open.’"
Despite repairs and pop-up events, the business struggled to regain its footing.
"We love and appreciate every single one of you who have supported us over the almost 3 years we were open."
