LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown has announced some new features coming to its 55th annual Gaslight Festival, along with new dates for some events.
According to festival organizers, there will be a food court this year with more food options and seating. There will also be a "Shop, Eat Jeffersontown Day" on the Tuesday of the festival, and Saturday will feature an Explore A Truck event.
This year’s Gaslight Festival will feature 14 events over nine days.
The Festival 5K and Balloon Glow are moving to the weekend before the arts and craft show.
Other events include a golf scramble, parade and car show.
The 2024 Gaslight Festival is scheduled for Sept. 5 through Sept. 15. Below is a complete list of new dates and features:
- Gaslight Festival 5K moves to Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. with the starting line in Gaslight Square.
- Gaslight Festival Balloon Glow moves to Saturday, Sept. 7 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Skyview Park.
- This year, Gaslight Festival opens a Food Court offering more food options and seating. Local entertainment, adult libations and live music will be available all weekend. The Food Court is located behind Third Turn.
- Shop Eat Jtown Day - Tuesday, Sept.10 in the city of Jeffersontown. Numerous restaurants and merchants will offer specials with "55" in mind in honor of the festival’s 55th anniversary.
- Explore a Truck - Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. – Noon featuring emergency and utility vehicles on display for children to experience
- Jtown Farmer’s Market moves to Gaslight Square on Taylorsville Road and becomes part of the showcase on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
